In the middle of nature, in the heart of the Mecklenburg Lake District is Western Europe's largest bear sanctuary – BEAR SANCTUARY Müritz. The rescued brown bears live in spacious enclosures in a forest that has been deliberately left in its natural state. The bears find a habitat that meets their natural needs, can rediscover their natural behaviour and simply be bears.
